How did Snowman get involved in his jumping journey?

Snowman was sold by de Leyer to a family friend six miles down the road. Snowman kept jumping the fence, and traveling back to de Leyer's stable. Harry bought him back, and trained him to show hunter-jumper.

Was Snowman really called "The Cinderella Horse?"

Yes! Snowman's followers called him the "Cinderella Horse" because his story is similar to Cinderella's. They both were not the best looking and they both weren't trained to go out and show. Just like Cinderella, Snowman's ''prince charming,'' Harry, came and made him into something amazing.

Snowman did in fact die of kidney failure. In 1974, Snowman passed away at the age of 26. 

The movie states that Snowman died of kidney failure. Is this true?

What achievements did Snowman have? Were these mentoned in the movie?

Snowman was a lesson horse for a short period of time before he was sold to a farm down the road. After coming back multiple times, he started to jump. As mentioned in the movie, Snowman was the named the United States Equestrian Federation Horse of the Year in 1958.  He also was the Professional Horseman's Association champion and the champion of the Madison Square Garden's Diamond Jubilee. In 1959, Snowman was named the first horse to win the Madison Square Garden's Open Jumper Championship two years in a row.
